　　The Consulate-General of Germany in Guangzhou and Xinghai Concert Hall co-organized a special German jazz performance at Man Lap Fong, Ersha Island, on the night of December 2.

　　As part of the 2018-19 Guangzhou Jazz festival, the event attracted more than 200 participants and filled the place with smooth rhythms and swinging melodies.

　　Xu Quintet, a German jazz band, put on a rousing performance around 11 p.m. after their concert at Xinghai Concert Hall. Martin Fleischer, the German Consul General in Guangzhou, performed with the band and won warm applause.

　　A local trio, Luo Jingtian, also performed at the scene. The group is a musical ensemble composed of composer Luo Jingtian on keyboard, bassist Liang Weitang and drummer Chai Hualiang. They are hosting "Jazz in the City," a series of mini concerts during this year's festival.

　　The Guangzhou Jazz Festival was founded in 2015. As the only jazz festival named after the city, it attracts many domestic and foreign jazz masters to perform in Guangzhou every year.
